Default Skunk2 vs. Crower vs. Comp Cams ??

Please help !

I planing to replace the camshafts in my B16A1 DOHC Vtec.

What brand and modell is good for both street use and racing?
Which ones should I avoid?

I'm only intrested in US made camshaft (less expensive than japs.)

- Skunk2 stage2 (Vtec Duration 266in./262ex. @ .485/.466)
- Crower stage2 (Vtec Duration 246in./239ex. @ .050")
- Crower stage3 (Vtec Duration 257in./246ex. @ .050")
- Comp Cams 57300 (VTec Duration 260in./260ex. @ .050")
- Crane Cams ???

I'm aware of that all of the cams above require an upgrade of the
valve springs & retainer.

I'm going to use:
B16B pistons in my B16A which gives CR=11:1 (original is 10.2:1)

It also depends on what your goals are...turbo, motor, nos. They make a difference in the type of cams you wanna buy. I have a turbo, and next weekend I'm gonna put in some USDM ITR cams in. I hear they are good for B16a1 - the 1st gen b16a cams suck...

Other than that, I hear Skunk & Crowers are good. I had Crowers on my B18a (non vtec), and they worked well for me.

Good luck.
