Dri. Side shaft removal?
is it pretty easy to take off my driver side axel? Do most come out aftrer taking off the nut under the caliper??? any common complications? I need to know thanx.
1. loosen the axle nut with the car on the ground
2. jack the car up
3. remove the wheel
4. loosen the lower ball joint nut after removing the locking pin
5. seperate the ball joint and pull the hub assembly outwards and seperate the axle from the hub.
6. pry the axle from the transmission using a screwdriver or small pry bar
7. pull the axle free
installation is reverse of removal

I just did this last night at work, although I had air tools it is a ver simple job, and I was done in a half an hour.
One thing ^ he forgot to mention, unbolt the through bolt on the lower control arm for the bottom of the strut assembly, this way you can pull up/down on the control arm easier, and also get the old axle/new axle in easier.
