first off the head from the "other" engine is a vtec head, u will need other **** to just bolt that on your d15, i believe you will need a new ecu, the dizzy from the vtec head, headgasket.. and other ****.. just drop in the whole "other" engine and get a new ecu, and get a new wiring harness and convert to mpfi.. i think that will be way better, you will feel a BIG difference!!
also if you dont know what your doing, i think u may want to find someone that lives close to you to install that swap for you.. def. dont take it to a shop they will charge up the *** for such an easy swap

convert to mpfi, take the sohc vtec and put some new rods and pistons (forged), if you dont have money, sell the other motor to get those parts...the one that is currently in your car....thats my opinion...

the engine you have sitting there is a VTEC engine!! the easiest way to tell that its vtec is look at the spark plugs, they are towards the front of the valve cover, look at the engine thats in your car, and the spark plugs go in towards the back of the valve cover meaning that the one in your car in nonvtec.

I had a D16Y7 from a 98 DX chillin in my garage just a little bit ago. It's definitely 1.6 sohc cam NON-VTEC. That thing about the spark plugs wires goin in towards the front being vtec...i believe corresponds to the 5G civic motors like the D16Z6 ex/si sohc vtec & d15b7 dx soch non-vtec.
