Wow! What a weekend & what a wonderful track! If you've never been on the VIR Full Course, I would firmlly reccommend going! 3.27 miles of pure fun - tight turns & long straightaways! I ran with HPDE 2 on Saturday & Sunday. My instructor was Jim Paulovitch from Pittsburgh & he was a great guy- definitely reccommend him! Over 3 hours total track time & lots of classroom time...There was a 20 minute sprint race on Saturday & a 3.5 hour Enduro on Sunday - lots of fast cars....I have a few pics & many movies to follow...As usual, I was the only prelude there
Lot's of Body Roll in turn 3 (Even with the ST rear sway, GC/Koni's 400F,450R)

Passing the integra between turns 6 & 7!!!
The Uphill Esses - Lots of fun at 90 mph!
Right before the bridge between turns 6 & 7!!!
Beginning the pass of the 240sx!
As soon as I can log into we-todd-did-racing, I'll post some of the in-car videos :D

Trust me....it does. The car handles A LOT better than I would've imagined. I track my car at Summit Point in West Va. It is a BLAST!! I think with an H22.....it will be even more fun.
Keep the pics and video coming.

nice!!
That body roll is not all that bad. You should see what it looks like for a stock prelude. I wish I could of been there, but it will be anther month or 2 before my car is ready.

Nope, I live in New Jersey - about 15 miles from NYC....I just came down for the weekend to run with the NASA Virgina chapter. You can check their schedule on http://www.nasaracing.net
I should have up some videos by Sunday.....

looks great,
Preludes although arnt as settled as ITR's on track do very well, im happy with my ride so far, the prelude will do only as well as the driver will drive it tho. alwasy great to see other preludes being thrashed hard around corners.
I just got back from Phillip Island GP track last weekend, (for those who follwo motoGP will know Phillip island in Australia). anyway im one of 2 preludes that are tracked there, pitty tho, the rest of the preludes here in Australia are riced out, or drivers put decent modifications on but never take advantage of them.
here are some pics,

I've taken my lude to the track 3 times when it was bog stock, since then i do a mod or two between track days, so much more fun than modding the car then going to teh track, in the end, i've learned so much more about my car in stock form and modified than those who come thinkin they'll kick *** coz there car has all these goodies on it.
heres some specs on my ride.

preludes suck on track...
J/K
Uphill esses are awesome at VIR the first couple times around, but after awile, you realize they are actually pretty straight, so keeping it flatfoot at 120mph+ can happen, then it gets boring, much like the backstraight..
BTW, I am not kidding about 120mph....
All the East Coast Honda Challenge guys are doing that through that.. I remember when 90-100 felt so fast in scary, and it is still, in a street car with street tires..

My poor street tires
- I wasn't even on my Azenis b/c they had predicted rain - so I kept on the old Kumho 711's. The only saving grace for the tires is that they give great audible feedback......On video, I have Jim Paulovitch in my car saying "I think we're at the limit of these tires" as I tried to keep up with a RX-7 through the Upper-Esses and South Bend (I pictured myself going off into the field to the right of south Bend)

Here's a lesson in how to take a bad video.....I had left my camera mount in the same position that I use it in autocross. I didn't realize that the instructors head would end up blocking half the screen whenever I made a turn........Anyways, Here's what one lap around VIR looks like.....

I have the camera mounted to my harness bar (which is the stable energies b-pillar bar) using the io-port camera mount...IO-port racing makes a camera mount ($99 on their site, $89 on stable-energies site) which can be attached to either a 1" tube or larger tubes - if you have a cage or rollbar.....Please note that since I only have a harness bar & no roll-over protection, that I do not use my harnesses on the track - only at autocross (low speeds).....my next plan for the car is a roll bar
