how do i get the alpine 9813 to turn amber? the only way it does is temporarily when i mess with the eq, and thats just the four buttons on the left. any help?

 

You can't. The 9813 does not have switchable illumination.

 

At least you bought the good model. I got the 9811 thinking it had all the same stuff as the 9813 and 9815 except for higher rms output. Then I fiddled with it and found out there's a ton more stuff that the 9813 has that the 9811 doesn't like a better EQ, Crossover and the Time Correction is better. Oh well.

i was thinking, if your adventurous you could probably take it apart, find out what bulbs its takes and get amber ones.

 

nah, i aint gonna open up the alpine. its not worth it for just some color. not that it would match the green of the civic anyways, i just wanted to see if it would work. its alright. and yeah the 9813 does have tons more **** than the 9811. i dont think the 9811 has the vdrive amp. but from the 9813 to 9815, youre gettin, 2 lines of display, another band of parametric eq, and some memory features. oh, and its BLUE. doesnt justfity almost 100 to me, but thats cuz i had to pay for some of the deck in change too. o well

 

dont even bother with the bulbs they are so small some have sleeves over them to make certain colors but changing them doesnt help that much
