Default Buying a Accord?

After looking at Maximas for awhile, I've finally realized that I dont want to spend over 10 on a 97-99 for my first car. So I've decided to start looking at Hondas. I found a 94-97 Accord EX Sedan. It's got 71000 on it and they want 6000 for it. Is this a good deal?

I'm not sure yet. I gotta wait until tomorrow to go look at it. It's a bank repo car. I went back today and it turns out that it is an LX. Is there anyway I can make this car decently fast? If not, I'm just gonna keep on lookign for something with VTEC or a Civic/Integra

hmm price sounds decent, i bought my 95 ex coupe 5 sp w/ leather interior, 60000 miles on it a year ago for 7Gs... i'm so glad i bought the ex, not lx, cuz VTEC MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE

yeah, thats what ive heard. I'd rather wait for an EX. So is that a normal price for an EX, or did you just get a really good deal. I'm gonna go drive some either tonight or tomorrow. My plans are to drive a 94-97 EX, one of the newer ones, and Civic EX or Si.

<<< ALERT >>>

look for a 94-early 95 model if you can find one
becuase they are obd1 which will be better in the long run and will save you $$ on a ECU converstion
i know becuase i bought a 96 and im converting

Whoa wasn't it you saying you're going for a dyno run soon and expecting better than 190 HP and 230 ft-lbs to the wheels with your new NOS setup?

if you really want an accord then take your time shopping for one, it took me several months of searching to find the one I wanted. I drove from NOVA to Richmond, VA about 3 1/2 hr round trip to look at several different cars.
Get the EX, 5 speed and preferably the 94 or 95 model
