Default Just Installed my JDM black dipstick and J's Racing Dampner

As I said above. With the Dampner the shifts feel alot more solid. Now I can shift with out getting alot of notchyness. I did get alot of vibration in the cabin though. I also have some kind of rattling. I think my mugen front strut bar is rubbing something. If someone has this problem please let me know how to fix it. And as for the Black dip stick, it just looks cool.

Do you also have motor mount inserts? I was wondering what the car would feel like with both of them installed.

I don't have the ES MM inserts. I did buy them but I heard that they make you car vibrate alot. so I opted to not put them in. The J's Racing Dampner is actually a really good product. My shifts feel alot better.

Where'd you get the black dipstick? I just got a JDM valve cover and I don't think my orange one will match.

Sounds nice...Anything to help the shifting

Is there something wrong with simply prepping and rattle-canning it? I shudder to think how much the JDM dipstick costs.

The vibration isn't as bad as everyone thinks they are. It's hardly noticeable during idle and only very noticeable when the A/C is on.

It was actually the wire that the stock type s sway bar holds. If you move that and zip tie it to something else like a mugen strut bar. If you use the stock strut bar you should have problems like I did.

Supposedly Ingalls is suppose to do the same as J's but without the harsh cabin noise. If I were you I probably would've waited for the Ingalls.

I found the J's ok but you still felt the vibe in your seats and on the dash.

You will alway have to sacrifice performance for comfort. you can't get the best of both worlds. So people will just have to make a choice.

I have seen those supposed "JDM" black dipsticks on EBay for $9, but every picture that I have seen of the Type R engine bay has an orange dipstick. Maybe this is something new or maybe its for the IS. Becareful and make sure that what you order is truly JDM especially on EBay.

The E.S. motor mount inserts help out greatly against wheel hop. True, you do get some vibration, but soon as they wear in a little it vibrates alot less. In my opinion they are a great investment. Just my $.02...

I have a can of stuff from Home Depot that you can dip anything into, and it coats it with black rubber-like stuff....you can build up coats to a really thick, grippy handle. It costs $6.

Now, what's this about an Ingalls dampener? I gotta check it out.

you can find alot of DIY stuff. Sure you can paint the dip stick black. But a True Jdmer will always buy the real thing.

The EURO/AUSDM Type R has orang dipsticks. The JDM one has black. I need to order another one, I broke the one that came with my engine.
