like i said i got mugen lugs. they had them instock when i called. i have tried for the volk lus, but the were never in. i think the mugen ones are alos a little cheaper. they were $89+shipping.

 

Does anyone know of a black wheel lock that can be used for the Volks?
Are the Mugen lugs a wheel lock?

These are the black Rays (Volk) lugs on my car. I got them from Dan of Godspeed Motorsports. He tries to keep some in stock. I think they are $120 or $130.

 

Its all about the Spoon lug nuts with Enike wheel locks!

 

yes, the mugens are a wheel lock...might pick up a set myself...for some reason the Volks look big, not heavy, just the size compared to other lug nuts...

The lugs are not made by volk though.

Those are Desmond lug nuts (close end) on 15" TE.

 

those lug nuts are so long
they look wierd

 

Those lugs are used for racing and they need to have enough length to receive the extended studs that most race cars have.

 

you can also check out McGard's [http://www.mcgard.com] selection of automotive lugs. they have many colors and their locks are weight matched to their lugs (very important for wheel balance).

I agree w/ the post above.

Pros - nice as hell quality.
Cons - a bit pricey, hard to get. Most places ask 120 for a set. I'm getting mine for 6 bucks a piece...which is still damn price for my pockets.

I'm less concerned with price, but more with durability and how good of a lock they serve as. Those Kyougen (sp) lug nuts I hear round off because of they are so soft.

I'm interested in the durability as well, I experienced the Kyokugens first hand...BTW it is the lock that strips easily, not the lugs themselves, as the wall of the socket is way too thin...

 

wait... $6 a piece x 30 lugs = 120. you made it sound like you were getting a discount or summin, so i had to figure out math.
