Default Car wont start, exhaust putts loud?!

I stored my car and it was runniny like crap. I have added lots of additives
Like methyl hydrate, injector cleaner, and water remover.

The car was running ok until today when i ran it, then stopped it and tried to run it again. When i do turn it on, the car wont start and the exhaust putts loud.
the exhaust sounds like its backfireing..

do u think that there was water in the system that would have caused the engine to freeze and not start?!

HELP!

Sounds to me like timing problem. I would check that first then move on

does it sound like mine? heh, I put a post up with a vid clip, search under my name you'll see it...heck here's the vid clip http://www.ctel.net/~wilfredb/mov00054.mpg

I've been told timing, I just checked the distributor and actually flipped it 180 degrees inside and got the car to combust, wahoo! but anyway, reset the timing, mine is still a little off but I think that's the key! timing sucks! haha. it's easy though especially if you got access to an impact wrench!

ok well i started it up again and it worked.... odd...

maybe it was saturated with fuel?

but if my car sits for a while, would timing change? Because when the car is running warm, the exhaust putts stilll....

I wouldn't think the timing would change just from sitting there, if the belt is loose somehow it may jump though and therefore change.

You had junk in your fuel circuit...
timing does not change on its own.......
