I have reused d16 head bolts like 3 times and b16 once without any problems. It is not recommended though, unless you buy some good AEBS or ARP head studs.

In a high horsepower motor I would never re-use bolts only studs.

reusing them shouldn't be a problem as long as you reinstall them in the same order you pulled them and don't overtorque them.

I believe that head bolts shouldn't be reused more than twice, but it is up to you. I know people that have done it, but once a bolt stretches, it doesn't hold as well as before. This is why headstuds are nice. You can reuse head studs many more times than bolts, because they stretch less and are not fatiqued as easy

In some cases I've reused them numerous times so I really wouldn't be to worried... Don't get me wrong, on all of our higher compression NA or FI setups nothing but AEBS or ARP studs are used...

in any case, whether it is the ARP or the Stock studs, its not recommended to reuse them.
Especially on high end performance motors. the most we reuse is 2-3 times on the AEBS or ARP studs.

im on the second time using my stock headbolts. no probs with them so far, but im not runnin any f/i yet. for serious setups id get new oem every time, or maybe reuse aftermarket ones once...
