Default brakes question

quick question...does it matter if the squealer on the brake pad is up or down? i kno it has to be on the inner side but not sure if the metal piece should be up or down...or does it even matter?

I'm not sure what you mean.... Are you talking about the wear indicator thingy? Or the shims?? Either way how could you chose? They are shaped to fit only one way.

Well every brake pad I have ever had it is attached to the pad...
Are you sure your not talking about the little shim that goes on the mount on the end of the pads?? If so there should be one for both ends.
Technically you don't even need the wear indicators. They are there just to tell you that you need new pads soon. If you check on them from time to time and have a good idea then you would be fine. I mean they aren't a functional part...

ok well wheres ur pad wear warning thingy located....?? inner pad top or bottom?
