Default OT: ITR brake MC+booster.

Sorry for the off topic. I payed $75 shipped for a "brand new still in packaging ITR brake MC+booster." I got a lightly scratched MC with used brake fluid residue in it. It has an ID tag on it like it is from a salvage yard (unless Honda uses these tags). Is there anything that will tell me its an ITR MC? If not, where do I meaure it and what should the dimensions be? I will leave the sellers name out for now. If it is in fast from an ITR, then I"m satisfied. Also, this is probably a slim chance, but is there a number on it like the engine ID number that I could look up to make sure it's not stolen.

there should be a fraction on the side of the M/C, what is it, that will help to start things off.

No fraction. Says Nissin. Then 3 1 A. Other side says Honda, 8 V 3.

So whats the tracking number for the cluster while your logged in?

sounds like an ITR MC to me.. those are the correct markings..

are the orientation of the bolts of the MC to the booster at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock? if so, you've got the correct piece..

FYI, search is your friend.. I had a thread or two on this within the last 3 months..

There have been multiple threads, in fact, about this same topic.

You ITR owners get all the good questions... you get to support everyone who has the slightest little piece of "R" bolted to their cars.

Bolts are at 3 and 9 so I guess it is ITR. Sorry, didn't dawn on me to search.

report that seller in the classifieds. If the ad says BRAND NEW, it better be brand new or else there is a problem.

And yes, that sounds like the correct MC from what I understand.

yep.. right piece, wrong condition.. i'd bitch..

but then again, the going rate for a used ITR MC and BB together is like $200.. So you got what you paid for i guess.. misrepresenation is not cool either though..

I let him know I'm not happy with the condition, that should be good enough.
