Well, I finally tracked down my old Hype R, #0009 of MY 2000.

Thanks to some prompting from an HT member, I got yet another Carfax report (thanks to another HT member) to see what had become of my old sled since I sold it in June of '02. After sitting dormant for many, many months, it looks to have been registered in NY (buyer's home state) as of 11/15/03 with only about 100 miles more than when I sold it. Guess he kept it stashed away for whatever reason.

I've lost his email address since then, and in fact never heard from him again after he hauled it away on the Uhaul. I was sure it had been stolen and stripped by now, since there had been no activity for so long.

Glad to see it back on the road (I assume)

nice to hear that it's still around

i can't imagine how i would feel if i sold my type R and found out that it got totalled.

 

Glad it wasn't stolen over there in NY.

 

Man it's been a while, i remeber when you sold and bought the Volvo and then being jealous that you could get dealer installed Ohlins goods on it
