Default Is the jdm h22a header the same as the usdm h22a1 header?

well i have someone local offering to let me use they're jdm h22a header for the dyno comparison i'm planning. i wanted to know if there were any differences/ hp gains when comparing the two. if so i would like to include both, if there aren't any differences then i would use this header (stock vs smsp).

I searched and didn't find any concrete answers as to whether they were different or not. They will be run open header so bolting up to my exhaust won't be an issue.

the downpipe is a lot larger...the top is the same. How much I can't say for sure because the JDM header has dual walled piping...but defintely bigger than USDM stock.

you can see half of the JDM downpipe here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33631

see how it's bigger and has an oval in the piping just before the merge?

thanks, so the jdm would likely produce gains over the usdm? I'll try to test all three then.

I'd say it's a waste of time and effort to dyno a stock header. Like why bother. A DC SS is a good enough baseline. It's a lot of work for little benefit.

well with the current engine probelms i have i want to be able to dyno both (stock vs smsp) on the same day. i no longer have the dc (sold) or stock header, so i need one or the other. The reason i'm asking for stock is most people wouldn't have a dc header to lend, i doubt many people have them laying around like they do stock ones.
