Default Getting headertech header soon, have a few questions with those who run em

Well first off i will be mating it with a 2.5inch exhaust so where exactly would i size it down to 2.5. Before the cat after the cat..where? Does it bolt up directly?

If anyone can give me some tips or guide me in the right direction that would be awsome. Thanks

edit: for an 00 ITR btw

Header tech sales a 3 to 2.5in adapter. which directly bolts on.

Check that out. I just got me a Header-Tech header. You can see a picture of the reducer pipe that goes from 3" inches to 2.5" inches. But if you're using that, I don't think you can use a cat. It'll act like a test pipe that connects the header to the exhaust.

If you want to run a cat with the header, you should get a Carsound Cat with a 3" inch Inlet and 2.5" inch Outlet. It'll work perfect with the Header-Tech header's 3" inch collector.
