How do I get the factory head unit out. Which parts of the dash need to come off etc to make my new stereo install as easy as possible ? TIA

Remove the center console starting from the back armrest. Then the forward part, then the ashtray and cupholders, and THEN the head unit can finally be removed. WARNING! It's a major bitch.

there are two phillips head screws that hold your radio in from behind. You get to them by looking up from behind the center dash. undoing these 2 screws will allow your radio and dash pocket to come out, as the are connected. then you can install your new radio. entire console removal is not needed!!!!!

Eh, well I tried that. On my GS-R, the ONLY way to get my head unit out was to remove the center console.

Tumblweed is pretty close...

First off... removing the center console area will make the job easier, but it not needed if you don't mind working in tight confined areas.

First off.. what year integra are we talking about (a 2000)? They are all pretty close the the same procedure. If you do not remove the center console (the way I do it) you can get to the back of the radio from the passenger side. get behind the center console from the passenger side, there are usual 2 bolts/screw. I have seen different bolts/screws that hold it in, but you will find either philips head screws, or 8mm nuts on the back.. they are difficult to see, but if you follow the radio back the the rear support you will see them..

Also, If your installing a new aftermarket radio, PLEASE buy a dash kit and wiring harness..

That's the easy way.

,but it's more fun to take out your center console and such.

some folks here is right, well if you want to go the easy route. two screws on the back of the deck that is kinda hard to get to. after that, you can just pop it out.
