Spoon calipers...
Im looking into a brake upgrade for my DC5. I want something where I dont have to switch to a 17" or larger wheel, as I dont wanna lose the use of my OEM wheels. So, Ive decided on Spoon calipers, with a good set of rotors and pads, and stainless lines around. Heres my question... are the Spoon calipers bolt-on with a certain bracket (ie S2k or otherwise), or is it more trouble than its worth? Thanks in advance.
Do you mean more expensive? Not really, I can do the whole setup front and rear for less than a Brembo kit for just the front. Also, I wont have any 16" wheel problems, except *maybe* having to use a spacer, depending on which wheels I go with.
I dont see a reason to buy Spoons rotors or pads, as they are better pads out there for less money. Ive also heard of more than one instance where Spoon rotors have cracked, on numerous S2000s.
