1/4mile times...opinons please
I ran a 15.7@92mph on a gtech controller. Is this avg, good,or bad? Keep in mind i had full interior and full tank of gas. The mods on my car are; intake,exhaust,64mmtb, aramaki wires, kybagx (set on the stiffest setting), kumho 205/50/15 @ 36psi up front and 38 in the back, some bad *** camber. This is my first 1/4mile run and i tried the launch at 3500rpms and feather the clutch. I think my trap times are alright but my launches suck
i can get a 16.1 in an LS with only short ram intake and 2.25 custon exaust and muffler, so a gs-r should be much faster with all that...and it was full interior nothing taken out
Definetly drop the PSI in the front tires, but your traps speed is good but 1/4 is not. I got a 93MPH speed with a 14.9 and have numerous 90-92 MPH runs that were all 15.0s or 15.1s.

also, when u get to the track, expect a different time, the GTECH never worked right for me. Don't forget to add your weight to the vehicles weight when u put it in the GTECH, but it told me i had 125 HP at the wheels, in my 98 GSR. and told my friend he had 180 something in his 2K Celica GT-S. And that's not right either. So don't get upset about it, also, make sure the land is flat that u start on.
what I mean is it is impossible to run 14's in a bone stock (weight, tires, everything) GSR. period. The best drivers with best track conditions (temp, elevation, tail wind) have got the rumored low 15 sec slips (15.2-15.4). The usual (the only ones I have even seen/done) is about 15.7 bone stock. Real world. There was a post on this a few days ago.

yoda...thats funny. youre the opposite of him when it comes to cars. no knowledge, open your mouth when u dont kno what youre talkin bout.
yea i've been to the track alot, and I have quality Intake Header and Exaust, and i only run 15.2. And never seen any stock gsr's run below 15's. Plus intake header and exaust don't add much power anyways, so expect maybe a few tenth's of a second off your E.T. with those mods, not a 14 sec. pass.
14's are very capable with GS-R's w/ I/H/E. I ran 14's with just I/E. But then again, I think I have a damn strong GS-R engine, because I pull on most cars I shouldn't be able to...
hey...if u guys think im dumb thats just ur opinon...but I know of a couple people tha have ran 14.7's to 14.8's constantly with a stock gsr....but I guess im dumb and dont know anything soo
I got a 14.9 with just I/E at the track on a very cold Feburary day. Got to run 15 times that day and that was my best. Every other run was 15.0-15.1 with standard psi (35) in the fronts.

Now back to the original post.......
that isn't impossible for high 14's in a stock gsr...on the stock tires its pretty much impossible though, but for the HP its easily done. An upgraded clutch can put you in the 14's if u can race
