Default d16y7 in EF

I have a d15b1 w/ b2 head, and want to put d16y7 in. the y7 doesn't have distributor. If I put the intake and distributor from the b1 on the y7, will it work?? Also, do I need to switch ECU's?? I have 2 pg5's, one from a d15b1 and the other from d15b2.

If all you are doing is a long block swap, where you keep the current intake manifold, then that is a direct swap with nothing else to wire or convert. The distributor bolts right in without any type of modifications to the head.

I am not sure if your D15B is a multy point or a dual point, but in any case. If you keep the intake manifold ( which bolts right up tp the d16Y7) you have, then you can use the distributor you have and the ECU you have now as well.

Hope that answers some of your questions.
