Default Need Advice: for a poor man's suspension setup

on a tiiiiiight budget right now. But I am in a big mood of putting some thing on my R.

Here is the deal, I have around $250 to spend and between two cars: 00' ITR and 00' Integra GS.
I've seen some groupbuys for Eibach pro-kits springs and H&R springs for 190, 155 repectively.

The GS belongs to my gf, and she wants more rigid handling and at least 2 inches lower...(if the new springs are for her)
I want better handling and lower is not neccesary, but I don't feel unstable at high speed aerodynamtically-wise, so another .5 inch is good for me.

Now.....can I buy one of the springs and give my ITR springs to the GS. that would be a .9 inch drop right? Would that dramatically improve the handling that she can actually feel it and make it worthwhile?

Please give a feedback on these springs...and if possible, shocks from AX and Tokico illuminas.

P.S........if I give my stock air box + resonator to the GS...would it be any difference?

Sorry folks, we are a poor couple trying to squeeze out everything from our cars with minimum budgets. Hope you guys can help. Most of our money is into education in exchange for big $$$ in the future.

for the itr, keep the stock shocks and springs. they are very good. without spending big bucks, you can only hurt your cornering performance. spend the money on a rear sway bar, preferably the mugen 26mm. for the gs, uhh...got me, guess it depends on what wifey wants

Screw the bitch and put the money in your car.
A year from now, you will thank me. You will probably still have the car, but not the gf. You will kick yourself for giving her the money.

pick up a set of used ITR springs/struts for the GS(nice on my SC 4dr GSR, even with shitty Tokicos instead of the higher dampened ITR struts)... I've seen them as low as $250 for the set... the lower ITR arms also have to be sourced to make them fit... seen them as low as $100 used... Leave the R alone until you have big bucks to spend on it or you will have a lowered look with diminished handling... maybe some Energy Suspension bushings at the most(black ones only as they are graphite impregnated... red ones are not and almost always squeek)... can't remember if they make rear ITR sway bar bushings though...

Thanks guys for your information on suspension.

I will keep my R stock for now till I got the dough for Tein or Mugen Coilovers.....but what about Ground Control (Eibach quality)? They are pretty popular these days....I know their ads are silly but lots of cars are using them, they all have the Ground Control setup with Eibach pro-kit with Tokico Illumina struts.

As for wifey...she don't want pimpin rides, I made her into a more go less show girl. She wants precise handling now. Period.
So.....hmm...I'll have front and rear strut tower bar...might as well get the trunk bar. And lower anti-roll bars and tie bars. Then I'll try to locate a set of R spring/strut and Rotas for her. And...some Bridgestone S03 for both of us (dreaming )

Oh...and don't worry about me spending on an uncertain, depreciateing investment. She will pay all out of her pocket, not mine. Beside, I rather spend money on her car then her cloths and Prada ***** that she will end up selling two month later on Ebay.

I remember that some said a non-r with R swaybar will tear a hole underneath the car at the trunk area. I have to do a research on the appropriate mounting kit b4 consider the R swaybar transfer to GS.....oh, and I'll be buying a Mugen 26mm soon and I will donate my oem swaybar to GS. thanks for the offer though. But I am really looking for ITR spring/strut

Get springs H&R sports or TEIN S-Tech medium in the mean time. Waiting to accumulate the funds for a fully adjustable suspension would be agonizing!

I was sick of looking at the jacked up stock ride height. My TEIN springs work better than stock springs.
