Ripped it off last night
well latley my heatsheild has been rattleing real bad and anoying the **** out of me so i crawed under the car and took my heatsheild off....it took me liek and hour to get the metal cut around the o2 sensors...haha oh well no more rattle's.....
Are there any problems with removing the heat shield? I hate the rattle that mine makes, but I wasn't sure if it was really needed or not. TIA.

So did I. I hate that rattling **** under there and I had to take one of them off for my short throw so I got rid of all of them.

Ditto.
The only problem I have ever heard/read about is the shifter getting warm from the removal of the upper heat shields around the cat.

lol sorry to busrt your bubble, but you didn't have to cut the heat shield...
on the floor where the wires go into the compartment there's a grommet that u can take off and if u oull down the wires there's a plug u can disconnect.
i almost did the same thing, but i found out like 20 mins later
