Default Header recommendations for H23...sorry Prelude newb...

What do you guys suggest? I've only seen DC and GReddy. Anything else out there worth buying?

Not entirely true. Since most H23s are old...their downpipes are usually rusted and in need of replacement. Look at the cost of a new OEM downpipe....and the cost of the whole new DC header. You will see that the DC header is a GREAT choice.

For the H23 there are not too many choices for aftermarket headers The DC header is a GREAT choice if you are looking to replace your old OEM H23 downpipe....and get some more performance out of your car.

If you want a good H23 header find an F22B DOHC Header in Japan.

I've read all over this board that the h23 and the h22 have the same block. Why couldnt you just use a header for an h22??? I'm really interested in knowing why.

The blocks are the same...however, the heads are not. The exhaust manifold (on the head) bolt patterns are different too. That's where the problem is.

The ports are the same size but they don't match up as they are spaced out more, and the bolt pattern does not match up either. I'd also be very grateful if someone could post up a link or anything as to where to get a jdm f22b aftermarket header.

Interesting, I have owned 2 Dc Headers one for my old H23A1 (SS) and one on my H22A ceramic. The Stainless for my H23 had for 4 1/2 years and the bracket never cracked. My H22A for 2 years, and again bracket never cracked..
