what CAI is this?
i remember seeing a cai intake for the 98-02 accord v6. it had two filters, one like a short ram, then another in the wheel well. and there was some sort of bypass valve between the two. the short one was supposed to help the high rpms, and the longer one for the lower rpms.
anyone heard of this? is it the best of bother worlds.

too much reading from clubSI huh?
if you talking about the bypass valve, it there to save your motor from sucking in water(water is not compressable), it actually take away hp.

I made my own, I'll post a pic of it when I get home I like it for looks and sound.
Note: I know this does **** for power but I did it just to have a custom intake. I don't race this car... yet..and yes I know one filter is sucking in hot air from the headers..but I like it. Got the idea from a twin turbo skyline gt-r I saw at a motor trend auto show.

BTW not to steal your post or anything but I was wondering would an IC with a filter on the other side work? I was thinging of doing this til I got my COMPLETE turbo setup.

yeah it would, but there's not much of a point...you most likely lose power...
also, your intake would be more effective if you relocated your battery to the trunk and made some sort of heat shield or heat barrier...

ok lets see, this dual filter intake in the picture, where did you buy the Y joint from so you could feel 2 pipes? i like the idea but i do agree with the hot air from the headers but i think i have enough room in my compartment to do it a little different...

HDM huh?

Let me tell you this straight, that dual filter thing would do a d-mn thing let alone any hope for gains.
skyline need two filter because of the massive turbo.

Just damn... I figured some fucktard would come along and bash it after me saying that I know it does nothing for power. It's for looks and actually it's from Lowes. Also "skylines needs two filters because of the massive turbo" WTF is that? I said twin turbo hence the two filters.

He's got a point there 2+2=5, the two filters on the skyline are for the TWIN turbos. That means you need two, not because they need more air for one.
