Default HELP: d16y7 or sohc zc? on EF shell

Okay guys, im getting a EF shell and im givin 2 options. first option is sohc zc for 350 without shift linkage, i am unsure of its condition. He says its 30-40k miles on it. my second option is d16y7 for 500. its complete with harness, mounts, etc. Condition of the engine is good. Is there major difference between the 2 engines? and which way would u guys go or suggest? thx for responding

Both should bolt up with your stock mounts. You don't need the harness either. I would go with the y7 since it's newer. I believe the only thing you have to do is extend a wire for a coolant temp sensor or something. Also, just use your stock int. and ex. manifold on the y7. I've never done the swap so I'm not 100% sure but if you search you can come up with something.
