Anyone know what can cause 2 identical dents in the hood in this area?
I woke up one morning and drove my car to work. When I parked and walked away from the car I saw 2 dents in these areas:
You can't see the dents really well anymore because I pushed them out from underneath the hood, but they still left small creases on the edges of the dent.
I know it can't be vandalism because the dents don't have an impact point anywhere on the surface, plus they were totally symetrical on the hood. My only idea would be that when I rear ended someone 2 months ago it slightly bent my radiator support down a little and the body shop didn't repair it correctly, so when my bumper lip gets pushed up from scraping a steep incline, it pushed up on the bumper and pushed up on the edges of my hood and dimpled the hood. That's my only possible explanation I can think of at this time.
check out these pics of the space between my hood and my bumper:
Does that look like too big of a gap? Anyways, lemme know what you guys think. Thanks!

u fixed them pretty good

looks like some one sat like a pimp on that corner. both corners. also might have caused the bumper to slant.
If you ever taken your bumper off, the braket and guids can some times get worn out causing your bumper to not "Snap" in place as well.

well, you can't really see the dents in the hood because of the pictures, but the creases still remain on the edges it's just hard to see

you can't see the dents due to the lights reflection...but thats the obvious.

is your car really slammed?... well mine is and I have all kinds of small dents becuase my suspension is so stiff and low ...that the chasis of the car actually flexes a bit therefor leaving small dents in the hood and fenders

well yeah it's very hard to see the dents now because I pushed them out from under the hood...... but what's left is the waviness and small creases that sorta shape around the dent..... anyways, it is very hard to see them in the pictures but when you look at it in person, at the right angle in the light you can see the creases..... I'm just wondering how could identical dents on both sides of the hood, just appear outta nowhere?
well anything could have happen..you will never find out..we can only tell you what we thing could have happen. I dont think its due to slamming your hood. My guess is like i said...someone was leaning on your car. and yes maybe both sides.
