Default DC5 VS EG6

OK guys im in a big deboffle right now, i want to know what you all think. Right now I am torn between Turboing my b18c1 hatch, or selling it and buying a 02 RSX type s. But before you decide listen to my problem. I want to go through with the turbo, but I am afraid of problems that might come with it. Its going for a leak down test this weekend. I mean, i love hatchbacks and always will, but I also love the way RSXs look. I mean the RSX is obviously going to be more money in the long run, which I would eventually go for the turbo anyway. But I think that having a new car would leave me with less worries. I dont know, maybe Im just being stupid. So here is where you guys come into play. Keep in mind no matter what car I drive i want to have a nice turbo monster in high 11's is my eventual goal. So let me know what you guys think. Thanks alot!

you'd be pretty close to your goal with a b18c1 turbo hatch.

I totaly love the way the new DC5 RSX looks but it bothers me that the header is on the other side of the motor. Know'a mean? So if you buy a brand new stainless steel header then you wont be able to see it. But I guess Honda has its reasons.

Anywho, maybe you should keep both. The RSX for daily driving and the EG Civic a play car. I think that the EG Civic would probably be quicker than the the DC5R RSX though, torboed or All Motor.

I'd say go with the RSX-S, even though I love my hatchie and all turboing a B18C1 would cause too many problems. I know friends that spent more money maintaining that B18C1 turbo than on the turbo and installation itself.

If you dont owe any money on the eg6 keep it and get the rsx too. if you do just keep it and do the job right and you shouldn't have to much to worry about. my thoughts. Or if you really want the rsx I would wait to they have a braoder selection of aftermarket parts.( turbo kits) My two cents.

SOHC turbo!!!! owns you...

RSX-S are nice but i would keep the EG6. my roommate got ride of his hatch and has a new DC5. i drove it its nice and all but without tons invested it will never be a EG! i think handling and flat out everything you better off with the EG however like stated above keep the hatch and get teh RSX and your in the GOOD!!!

well yea, im on the verge of ordering the turbo within the next week or so, but now I am having second thoughts. The hatch is completely paid for, to get the RSX S would require me to sell the hatch and have a loan that I would be able to pay off by next year.

Go with the EG6. If you do everything right your worries should be a minimum. Things go wrong when people rush stuff and bootleg stuff cause they are either cheap or lazy. EG6 for life
