Looking into new throttle body on the Euro R..Suggestions?
I am going to put in a new throttle body on my euro r ( h22 ) and have been searching all over. The most appealing one to me is the 6th gen Erick's Racing TB.
I have seen the str, and a few others, but I like the erick's best. My question is, am I going to notice a huge difference compared to the stock one. Its a very aggressive throttle body and actually sells for more on all the websites then does the erick's racing. Am I shooting myself in the foot? Any opinions are welcome.

What size is the stock Euro-R throttle-body? I've had success using the JG/Edelbrock T.B. although with the STR one... I had issues with the TPS throwing a CEL.

So I was completely wrong. That means I'll have to machine my manifold for the 72-70mm from Erick's.</TD></TR></TABLE>
but of course! Yeah the manifold will have to be machined.

If you have a euro-r manifold I'd take the opportunity to stick a hondata intake manifold gasket in between the head and IM,keep intake temps down. you may have to slightly modify it to make sure it clears all of the Euro-R manifold flange...but it shoudl be fine
You took the words right out of my mouth. Thanks for the info
Would you suggest going all the way to 72-70mm ? Right now its a bit of overkill for the stock setup. I plan to add cams, a p&p job, and a few other things. I think then it will be worth it.

really? The hondata gasket will work with the euro r manifold on a euro r head? I saw a pick of a the gasket up next to manifold. The pic in this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=751968
You can see that it matches up pretty well, but if you look at the bottom of the manifold there is a vacuum hole that runs to a nipple under one of the runners. Is there a vacuum hole on a euro r head for that or does the hole get vacuum by the design of a stock euro r intake manifold gasket? The hondata gasket does not cover it. Would that be a concern?
Does anyone know what that vacuum hole is for?
Also there are little tiny holes above each port opening on the flange of the manifold. The hondata gasket doesn't cover those either. What are those holes for?

correct. If you have a euro-r single stage manifold the last thing you want is a POS dual stage runner
