...just a stoopid ricer question... i have heard people trying to take them apart... but never heard any reasons....(search) CAN YOU REMOVE THE ORANGE PART ?.... or would u have to replace it with clear or... paint it?...

 

not unless you know some magical way to remove color from plastic.

Postwhhhhore......BTW.....I like the stock taillights. I am sure you can buy a set that has the "si" style tailights for a 92-95 hatch.

I had them but went back to stock. There are two different brands you can get off of ebay. Make sure you look closely to see which ones you like better.

I'm on my 2nd set. I'm using red bulbs, so its alright. Its definitely worth it, I HATE the look of orange tails on a red car

 

mine dont light up pink .. look like oem, and the inner clear part only looks dark cause i have a superwhite bulb in it:

I looked and looked for red bulbs, but could never find any. NAPA insists they don't exist. If you could tell me where to find some I'd appreciate it, because my altezzas could use some reddening up.

 

just remember to reseal the edges again, or they will become fish tanks

i use red vinyl sticker material to make my tails all red. they look really great. i buy the material from my local decal shop. just tell them that u want transparent red decal material.just 2 feet should be more than enough. ill put up some pix to morrow

 

get some of these. red/clears look better with the top half red and bottom clear.

oh and they light up red.

 

if you've got a tezza or other clear lense and cut the top half of it off.
Then paint that a translucent white or just leave it clear if you wanna go that way.
Then cut half of the OE lense off.
Then glue the tezza top and OE bottom together and put it back on the assembly.

they're just tezza's w/ red painted over the top... nice way to change up the tails when you get tired of them (if you don't have picky cops that'll bust you for having something covering the reflectors) Oh and before we start this again, I realize you can see the reflectors on those, but that doesn't mean that they're legal... if there's something covering the reflector it's not legal. Just like the 50/50's I posted aren't legal unless you have an orange reflector on the side... chances are you'd never get stopped for this, but better safe than sorry and out a pair of tails

 

just leave it stock. it looks tight already.

get some jdm taillights and just forget the orange thing

or red out your taillights with testors candy apple red...works like a charm and u can't tell from 5ft away
