02 Civic Si - HVAC question
Just picked up an '02 Civic Si yesterday from a Honda dealer in So Cal. I'm having some venting/AC issues.
I notice that if the I set the HVAC **** on Defrost, it automatically starts the AC (AC button lights green). I can't turn off the AC unless I set the **** to non-defrost setting. Is this normal?
Also, when I set the HVAC **** to middle setting (only to feet/ground), both outside vents on the dash still blow air along with air coming out from below the dash (air does not come out from middle 2 dash vents). Is this normal?
Thanks in advance!

1) Have the car turned off.
2) Turn the vent **** to off (All the way to the
left, counter clock-wise).
3) Turn the temperature **** to full blue (All the
way to the left, counter clock-wise).
5) Start the car and keep both air recirculation and
A/C button pressed.
6) Wait for air recirculation button to stop
flashing.
To turn the original feature back on, repeat all
steps, but for "STEP 2", turn the **** to full red (All the
way to the right, clock-wise).

To your second question, I think it's normal.

I'll give that a try. Thanks again for the suggestions.
I wonder if the guys at the Honda service department knows all these tricks.
Thanks again!
