How will i hook this up, im running a 95 gsr turbo with the apexi power fc, how will i wire the 3 bar map sensor in with the stand alone??

use the wiring diagram from hondata's web site.i will have to look to remember the setting on the fc or you can call xs engineering and they can tell you

 

ok man cool, are u running the FC datalogit also? did u get the software so that u can use the laptop or are u still using the commander?

how hard is it to tune with it, ive heard the datalogit is like 400 bucks and it opens a ton more maps and features, not sure about that though. do u have any vids and pix of your car/setup

 

is easy to tune with.i had xs engineering do the base tune by a list of mods i gave them.you just send it in with your list of mods and they program it in.then when i got it back ,it was almost perfect.i spent two hours on the dyno and it was perfect.you can find pics and videos herehttp://meacham.pointclark.net/TurboTypeR/index.htm.they are kinda old and need to be updated.

Have you looked through the Power FC to see what all the settings are yet? If not go ahead and start doing that. Keep us updated on your results with the Power FC

 

I would use the Apexi 3BAR map sensor instead of the GM...it plugs right into the PFC ECU, and the you just change the map sensor to option 4 within the program.

its expensive, but there's less problems and its completely plug and play.

oh and i also had another question, is there settings for boost levels? Say u want like 10-13 psi on the street, but u want 20-??? psi on the track can XS set it up like that im not familiar at all with the power fc....thanks alot

found it on http://www.sportcarmotion.com for 80 for the map sensor, not sure if u have to buy the lil wiring with it?

 

I bought mine from Top Fuel Mie, butI'm sure Apexi-USA carries them or can get one for you.

Q: all you need is the wiring from the map sensor to the power fc right. Or are you talking about something different. I would think that it should come with it all but thats an ASSumption

 

The Apex map sensor is the same Nippon Denso sensor used by Integral gauges. I got mine for $150.

geeze...that seems quite expensive??

Are these already prepped for 3-bar? Is it in the wiring that makes it a 3-bar??
