Default clunk noises when shifting...please help

i just recently put in a b16 out of my 92 hatch and it runs great. the only problem now is when i shift into first gear and begin to roll off...there is a "clunk" noise. i can sort of feel it in the gas pedal too...like a minor vibration. this problem does not occur anymore when i start to speed up and begin to travel in normal speed. It only happens when im' about to roll off from a stop sign. It also occurs on a roll off in a turn as well. This problem also happened in my LS motor too. But not as bad. It only happened on a rolling to a stop. Now is it the chasis of the body that is making the noise? or is it the motor itself? axle...boot....brakes? i'm very confused...i dont see any problem...but i can sure hear it. Thanks in advance

does it sound like someone is kicking the fire wall?? i had that problem when i did my swap.. it did it forever, then i changed the axle and that didnt fix it then i changed the lower control arms and the problem went away.. when i looked at the control arms they looked fine and everything else looked fine.. it might have been just a loose bolt or somthing.. hope this helps a little

when you swaped, did you change your motor mounts? Or did you atleast inspect them? I'm not sure if this would cause it to clunk, but it sounds like something is loose. Either that or try to (when the car is off and stoped) shake the engine by hand and see if you get the same noise.

thanks for the replys guys. the motor mounts were from Hmotorsonline. I inspected them. everything seemed good. i dont really mind the noise...i just hope my axles or anythig fall off on me when im' driving on the highway or something. i will continue to inspect further when there is more light outside. anyone else want a shot at this problem? please???
