Suspension Lube Points
First, I don't know the terms for these things, so bear with me.
There are a couple rubber boots on the lower arms of the car. I'm looking for a picture/diagram of them, and will post that up soon. Basically, I think these are lube points.
In the helms it speaks of packing these boots with grease (if it's them).
Mine are cracked and rotted, basically they must be dry like a wisdom tooth socket.
These are not bushings, are they? It looks like there's one or two per side of the car, they connect some sort of control arm to the rotor area. There's a castle nut on the bottom, I think with a cotter pin through it.
What is it called? How do I fix them?

sounds like you are describing the lower ball joint boot. if you are they are not servicable and if the boots are split open then the ball joint needs to be replaced ASAP
Your talking about the steering knuckle lower ball loint, as Junbb1 said they are not serviceable, most likly the helms was reffering to the 'tripod joint' rubber boots as they are filled with grease. Definitly replace soon as poss.
Thanks,
I know I have to replace them, and I was hoping I could do it myself, but since I didn't even know what they were called, maybe I better just hand it over to the stealership for a day. aargghg
