Default 89 Prelude Engine stuttering & Bogging at take off....help??

Hey guys, I normally don't post in this forum but its my gf's car that is doing this. At the beginning of take off (automatic tranny) it stutters unbelievably unit it reaches like 3K rpm and then its normal; it does the same with reverse. Whats the deal here? Injectors? TB dirty? Fuel filter?

Maintenance has been done in regards to oil, filters, etc. I haven't checked the plugs or wires yet. Any other suggestions?

Does your ECU flash any codes? If not, my Ed May book says check the following:

Battery, the fusible link and the fuses.
Body earths, check for poor or loose connections that have resistance, causing voltage loss.
Fuel supply: fuel lines, filter and pump.
Ignition system: spark plugs, cables, distributor and connections.
Emission systems: check crankcase ventilation, the EGR system and check for vacuum leaks.
Check ignition timing and idle speed.
Check all of the sensor connections, make sure they're not loose.
