I need some help with engine jerking or hopping? please!
Ok i did a search and i waited till the question popped up again and it didnt! ok my engine is jerking when i swhich gears and i've had friends tell me that i should change the mounts. now i've read on H-T that there is this stuff i think (urethene) suff that u can put in the mounts and dry i guess and it works better then energy suspention inserts. now i wanted to know what is it exactly and where can i get it from and has ne ever tried this and it work before and does it last? thank you for your time!
The motor mount inserts arent going to help. I had/have the same problem(or atleast I think its the same problem) and the ES(energy suspension) motor mounts did absolutely nothing for my car. They make my are vibrate more, but thats about it(which is very very annoying). Anyway, when I went to the track I still get tons of wheel hop, so they didnt fix that either. I have been told that it is because my clutch is worn out(which it is with 120k on it), so Im going to be replacing it in about 2-3 weeks(along with a type R tranny I hope).
I like the replacement mounts, but i went one step further and replaced every bushing piece in the suspension. Now I think that was worth it.
