u can't expect much hp out of just one bolt on.... to create a lot of hp... u need to add more stuff....

exceptions are turbo and superchrager....

Overall how does the jdm header do against the usdm header? And a jdm header vs a dc header. Any significant gains? I have a jdm header and was wondering if a dc header is worth the money to put in my ride?

People have dynoed the DC header for a loss of 1whp over a stock H22 header. And even those who have seen gain it was around 2whp.

From what I have sceen, most people only get about 3whp from a DC ceramic header, and the SS might be worse. What this really means though, is that the stock header isnt to bad. Even with a Mugen header, you only see about 7-10whp, where as some cars gain 10+ with a DC header because the stock one is so bad. At least the DC header is lighter.

Well, it would have to depend on what other mods were complimenting the header. If it was just a header with the rest of the car being stock, and having it gain 7whp, thats quite alot. Header gains are all relative to how much the car is modded methinks.

Also I know this is with a SS Header but from what I understand the Ceramic coated header has the same measurements. If I'm wrong someone tell me the difference.

I coulda sworn I've seen another dyno floating around the internet as well as this one but this is the only one I could find for now, it's been quite some time since I've actually seen it. Here evidently the loss was 1ft-lbof torque and the gain was 1whp.

True power doesn't come from bolt ons but from internals.

dc headers suck ***! dc cat-backs are good. the headers are a waste of hard earned cash. Jdm headers out perform dc!! BUMP!

any jdm headers that will fit an h23 head w/out modifications?

N/m just found this info from Satan_srv:

If you want a good H23 header find an F22B DOHC Header in Japan.

i'll put it this way Headers on a h22 don't make a diffrence they flow the same CFM as a factory manifold because they have the exact same piping size i have yet to see one with a bigger pipe size, especialy DC sports, a header is more of a cosmetic item and yes it does make under your hood look better but yel almost no increase in power, you can get just as much HP by holloing out your catalitic converter or replacing it with a strait pipe.
