Default Are Tokicos any good?

Are these any good for the money? Is it worth saving up to get the Koni yellows instead?

if you've heard people talk about "tokicos, koni yellows, etc" in these forums, they're probably worth something. tokicos is a good brand name for shocks btw.

I had them. It was good. Didn't go well with my skunk2 coils though. Koni's are good too. My bro has koni adjustables on his integ and they're great. I like them more but then again they cost more... I got some tokico's illumina's and blues for sale slightly used and I got pics. They're for 92-95 civic so let me know if you're interested. BTW reason for selling is I upgraded to some Tein FLEXs

Blues arent that great. For non adjustable go with KYB GR-2 or Koni Red...adjustables get AGX, Koni Yellows, or Illuminas

tokico blues are garbage if you lower it more than one inch and plus they're not adjustable...I have Illuminas but my rear ones are now busted after 2 years...I'll be replacing them with BCRS

the blues are nice shocks.. when your car is stock height. the shocks are a little underdampened for lowered cars and make the ride somewhat unfomfortable.

now the tokico illuminas are really nice shocks, however expensive and a few bucks more you might as well go with the time proven koni yellows.

I just put some Tokico Blues on my car tonight and went riding around. I like them. I think they feel great.

they're alright,

pretty good price... buuut personally i'd rather go with FREE STOCK shocks,
than $250 shocks that are only like 15% stiffer than stock ones,
and just as prone to being destroyed by a springrate that is too high, or riding too low.

these shocks are pretty soft and will provide you with a pretty soft ride,
which why some people get them and say "hey I like these"
if you want a soft shock.. and are not running a springrate that is too high for the shock, then go for it.

but otherwise i'd go for something better
