Default Does heat wrap help?

I was wondering I have heard both ways. The reason that I am asking is that I bought a header and it turned all brown and rusty looking and I want to have it powder coated but I can't wait for them to do it because I don't have a mani to put back on. I was just going to do it for cosmetic purposes but I was wondering if it would help any?

it will void any manufacturer warranty you may have on your headers. I've thought about wrapping my HP Headers, since they are sort of an eyesore..
