Default selling car, ebay worth the hassle?

im thinking of selling my 93 gsr once i the ys1 back in it

do you guys thin ebay is worth the hassle?

also i have a buddy of mine that works for this auction listing company

theyll put my car up on ebay for me, and if it sells theyll take 3% after the sale has been complete, if it doesnt there will be no charges or fees

sounds like a good idea or just sell locally?

i think ill get more from a national buyer

its a florida car!!! no rust!

I say put in in the classifieds here and give it a few bumps over a few days. Then try ebay. Its not much of a hassles just expensive! $40 to list it and $40 if it sells.

I would say the 2 best places to sell a car would be here and autotrader. Ebay in my opinion is a horrible place to sell a car. A 93 gsr is pretty rare so I think if you put it up on here and had a reasonable price it would go pretty fast.

ebay is one of the best place to sell a car. I had a 92 civic 12 sec b20vtec that I posted here for $6900 or 7000 around there.. and had a few interested buyers here n there, but nothing ever fell throug. Put it on ebay, and within a few days, I had calls of a lot of people that were very interested that didnt want to risk not winning it on ebay. Ended up selling it for $8200, dealt off of ebay. Ebay is a great place to get your car known.

If you can get someone to take care of getting some digital pictures for you, and the auction agency is willing to put the auction together, then I'd say go for it. Just set a reserve.

imo - there will be a lot of lowaballers browsing your car

would you buy a car on ebay?

if you do decide to go through with it, put a reserve price in case you want to get a certain amount for your car

putting on ebay will advertise your car to a lot more people than just a classified add. If you are worried about the 3% ebay will get from you, put it on ebay, and you will no doubt have some sellers contact you. Try to negotiate a deal with a serious buyer and sell it to him as a personal transaction, then tkae yr car off ebay. That is what i did.

Put it on ebay. It will sell fast.

The trick is to get as many pictures of the car as possible. Be honest, but don't try to explain every single little problem. Takes clear pics of the flaws and let the potential buyers determine the savarity of the problem.

He is talking about the 3rd party that wants to list his car and charge 3% of the final price. That is fine if you really dont want to do it. Ebay can be a great place just know the seller. Look closely at their feedback. If its under 10 I am always careful. If they wont take paypal as a deposit then WALK AWAY! (Or click away hahahaha)

You obviously dont know much about ebay. Yes they charge fees and yes the charge a final value fee which is percentage. However they DO NOT charge both on a vehicle. Its $40 to list it and another $40 if the reserve it met or it gets a bid on a no reserve auction.

On top of that those fees are more than reasonable! For $80 I had over 2500 views on my auction last time I sold a car on there. Plus it did MORE than I wanted for it! Where else will that many people see your car for that price?
