Default Any tricks to help drop me into 13's

I am stuck running between 14.10 and 14.05. I run the nitto nt 555 drag radial at about 12 psi. I have all the basic bolt ons and JUN cams. I want to hit 13.80's consistantly. Any I am willing to try any thing. Anyone have wierd rituals or lucky things that they do. My 6o ft is in the 2.1 range and my traps are above 90.

What kind of tuning could be had. Jun says that the cams should not be moved. My compression is at 11.5:1, so I dont want to move them too much. I gues my ignition timing could be moved, but to what setting.

Make 'em kiss yer piston domes
Oh, and don't forget all the lil things that you prolly already do like:
-Remove power stering belt
-Remove some interior console, passenger seat, spare, floormats, radio, etc.etc.
-If you have a cai remove front bumper lens
-TB coolant bypass (thanks matt)

I'd say if you have none of that stuff done you'd get at least .05 secs.

good luck

I assume you have pulled the pass and rear seats, the jack and spare. Remove the p/s belt and my favorite, folded the mirrors in? Its all about power to weight

Yea you probably need some tuning, I run the same times(14.1)w/ a 2.2 60ft and I only have I/H/E and BFG Drag radials at 18psi.

I run the same times with 2.30 60's with just an intake I made and a header.Hmm...I would expect more from that set up.

I run consistant 2.1-2.2 60 ft time on street tires, 205/40-17 yok paradas and easy 1.9s on drag tires. You should be able to pull 1.9s on a drag tire with no problem. Every .1 off your 60ft is good for about .2 off the e.t.

I have a white 98 with a red factory body kit. Other than that I look pretty stock on the outside. Yeah I would have thought I would be a lot quicker too. I'm not real hapy with the results. I think a big problem of mine is that I have worn syncros and can't slam the gears as fast anymore. When I slam gear too fast it just won't go in. I have to be smooth in 2nd and 3rd.

No I have removed nothing from the interior. I want to know what I could run on the street. How much weight can really be saved by removing all my interior like the seats and console. I can see removing the spare and tools, but the console.

I have to disagree about the 60ft.It has been my experience that if i get a good 60ft it lower my trapspeed lowing my et.I am on street tires.I can get 2.2's and I will get a best of a 14.1-14.2.If I spin the tires a little more off the line it seems to get the mph up resulting in a btter et and trap speed

As for the interior,I have never taken the center console out ,but the spare, hatch lid, spare cover, jack, rear seat backs/bottoms and a fgew other thing I took out added up to 136 pounds.
