diy b series mount kit
could someone help me out here. Im about to put a 94 gsr motor in my car, (91 hatch) i have all the parts from my old car, i took everything out before insurance got it. MY QUESTION IS, is there anything i could do to get this motor in my car without buying an expensive mount kit? like any other honda factory mounts or something
I have ghetto homemade mounts.
I have 50,000+k on them and there still good.
Biggest problem with doing it this way is engine placement. If you can get the engine straight and axles straight and everything good than they should hold up. If you want extra stiffness you can use clean out the old rubber and use some 80 polyuerthane and mould up some new mounts.

you can use a 90-93 integra driverside mount and rear bracket that bolts between the block and rear x-member mount . then you can fab up a pass-side tranny mount. make sure you also get the piece that bolts between the block and the driver side mount.
Cool, ill try the integra driver mount and did u mean the rear tranny bracket also known as the Lshape bracket, and HEY HamiltonRex did u start from scratch or use oem parts to begin with
I didnt make em, they came with the car, the car held a b16 in the mounts than a b18c for awile and there still good.
The stiffness is not important becuase you can put new urethane in there thats like a 80 grade, or i think they even make a 92 grade which is almost as stiff as billet aluminum. Its placement, if you screw up on the mounts and the engine sits funny then thats bad.
Ill take some pics later and post a link so you can see how i made my tranny one.
The mount was welded on to the body, so you will need a bit of skills.
