just a hint louder than stock
the pitch of the sound is tighter sort like a sweet purr

Sounds like, just what I'm looking for....but here a couple more questions for you -

* What size is the pipe, between the cat and the muffler....is it 2 & 1/4" or something else?
* Roughly, how much does the system weigh?; as I'd like to compare it to a system, that a local exhaust centre has recommended me.

Cheers....

uh, I think the Mugen is 2 1/4", not 2.5...and I don't think stock exhaust is stainless, thought it was mild steel....

Hey BAAE has a meet at TGI Fridays @ 12 pm this Saturday, the 13th.

I think Reid has a Mugen N1 Exhaust. All I remember is that it's loud as hell when you get on the throttle.

A little OT:, but would anyone happen to have the box for their exhaust? I'm trying to ship my stock ITR b-pipe that's 6 ft long..

If you order the JDM Mugen catback, the piping is 60.5mm or about 2-3/8". If you order the USDM Mugen catback, the piping is the same size as stock .

I'm not going to pretend that I have scales on my arms...but roughly, the Mugen b-pipe weighs a little less than stock, and the Mugen muffler weighs a little more than stock. You are not going to see the same weight savings with an aftermarket exhaust as you will with an aftermarket header (unless of course your stock exhaust is cast iron like your header is). If you're THAT worried about weight, I guess you could throw your money at a Titanium system.

I have the JDM Mugen twin loop. I'll be at the BAAE meet at tgif's on sat. It's connected to a jdm itr engine, with 4-1 header
2.5 in collector to test pipe to 2.5 mandrel bent. It's nice cause the canister hides behind the bumper and cops can't see it.
No shiny thing making it all obvious. When you start to get into the high revs, the engine makes a louder noise. Of course.. my engine is loud
