Default Atlanta autox anyone?

I've received an email and also checked out the PCA website http://platz.com/pca/peachstate/events1.html There is an autox event at AMS (Atlanta Motor Speedway parking lots) Oct 14th if anyone is interested in going. This is a bigger site than turner field.

I'll be there with the talon if i can stop it from misfiring somehow (while the type r is at opm). If anyone is interested in going, the PCA events are very laid back and start at or just before noon. They give four runs and have considerably less people than the scca turner field events. If I'm going, I'll try to get there before 11. Anyway, just wanted to get the word out about this event!

I will try to be there. Never ran a PCA AutoX before. Do you know if they have a schedule or anything up on the site. Cost? Little more info for the newbie please.

Weather doesn't look too hot though .. and I don't have any rain tires.

PCA autocrosses are usually 20-25 bucks, and start generally around noon. If you are a non porchy, you get lumped into a "visitors" class, and run against everyone else. Last one I was at ran about 4 hours late, and the last group (mine) didn't get all of their runs due to darkness.

ouch, that sucks. Yeah those pca guys like to take thing easy.. maybe too easy sometimes!

Chris coved everything I know about them. I ran with them a few times before and did get all my runs in. One thing about these pca events is that the visitors’ class always runs last. Oh well, this event wasn't publicly announced on the atlanta solo II list that I can remember, so I don't think there will be a huge turn out. That's good! Now if I can just try to get my car running properly before sunday, it will be even better!

news update: I won't be able to make it. I couldn’t fix the misfire on my car, so I won't be running it like that. (Also, other than the link I posted above I couldn't find any other "confirmation" that the event will take place.) I just hope that the porsche guys update their website if any cancellations occur! Whoever's going, have fun! And show those guys how it's done.
