why is it so hard changing the driverside headlight on my 96 accord?
why is it so hard changing the driverside headlight on my 96 accord? I have a 96 accord ex and i've tried twisting and turning on the plastic handle and the thing refuses to come off, let alone the pinch piece not comming off for me to twist it off.
If your talking about just replacing the bulb then you might try pushing in the bulb housing and then try and twist the sleeve (plastic ring). Hope this helps.

for me i use a flathead and gently lift those flat tabs on the black twist cap thing to loosen it a little if it ever gets stuck, be gentle though those suckers snap off easily...

You need to spray some penetrating lube in behind the nylon they get road sand and gunk behind them making it hard to turn . I change the driver side bulb on my 1996 Accord and had the same problem , after lube turned right off.
