My 95 gsr has 105k miles on it. It's pretty well maintained; new timing belt, water pump, radiator. I would love to go turbo but I don't think the investment is worth it with such a high mileage engine. what do you think?

Milage isn't as important as the overall condition of the engine. Give it a compression and leakdown test. If everything looks good, then go for it.

 

Yeah Kendall is right. Do all the tests you can. If your gonna go high boost I would resleeve the block and might as well do a whole engine overhaul while it's out but thats if you have big plans

 

Forced Induction questions are better asked in the Forced Induction forum. As previously stated, mileage means very little.

Compression test AND leakdown test would be the best way to go. Even if you get bad results, the cost of rebuilding your motor is minimal compared to the turbo kit assuming you rebuild yourself.

 

Put it this way: If you have to rebuild the engine, then you can go ahead and build it for boost.
