Default Recaro SRD's in DC integra

Is it possible to put Recaro SRD's in an integra with an armrest, or would u have to buy the armrest eliminator thing.

I think it depends on which brackets you use.

If you use the Wedge brackets, the bracket moves the seat slightly to the left and away from the center console bin far enough to keep it from touching it. When I first got the seat in, it moved me slightly to the left of the steering wheel. It's an odd feeling until you get used to it.

I haven't tested a set of JDM ITR bracketes, but I'm guessing that they'll place the seat slightly more dead center to the steering wheel and closer to the center console bin....close enough to knock into it quite a bit.

From what iv'e seen alot of poeple keep thier armrest, its just a tighter fit than before. With the stock seats theres room inbetween the seat and armrest, the Recaros however don't leave any room inbetween and it's a snug fit.

So I guess to answer the question some poeple get the eliminator, while others just keep the armrest. I myself am keeping my armrest, and well see how the fitment is in a couple days.

Iggy who won't give up his armrest.

i have the armrest eliminator in my DC as well. i got it mainly for aesthetics, but i also bought it knowing that i would be adding aftermarket seats, and i wanted to insure a good fittament for the seats. as it turns out, my Corbeaus probably would have fit even if i did still have the armrest, but whatever. i also took the stock armrest out due to safety issues. i always found myself leaning on the armrest during long drives...and when i would do that, i would get very comforateable and almost fall asleep behind the wheel. now i dont have that problem and i stay awake because i am not resting my arm on anything.

i miss my armrest... but it was either:

having the armrest and not being able for me/passenger to adjust the seat unless the door was open
or
not having armrest and have plenty of room in the middle

plus the recaros slightly rubbed the armrest. jdm armrest "eliminator"

Here is a quote taken by MarcPaco from a thread I found in the archives with a similar question.

"The JDM recaros only have the rake adjustment on one side whereas the Recaro SRDs have them on both sides. What you need to do to install a JDM Recaro while still retaining the center console is to put the RH seat on the LH and vice versa so you get the rake adjuster on the outside of the seat".

Quote»

From searching I also found that in the Jdm Itr the Adjusment ***** are both in the middle(facing the eliminator), with that being said it would work if you switched them, so the ***** both face outward.

the armrest gets in the way when you try to adjust the seats, thats why there is no armrest. but you could keep the armrest and still have recaro srds, your arm have to be flexible to adjust the seats.

Default "Ungawa!" - That's Caveman for "JDM Recaro's rock my world!"

I have some JDM ITR Recaro's and kept the armrest. Fit's tight, but no rubbing or anything funky. Adjusting the backrest is awkward but doable. Don't know if the SRD's are wider.

It's better to get the jdm arm rest eliminator. I had the same problem with the rubbing on the arm rest. I still have pics of it i can post if anyone wants to see them.

I took it to show off the EM racing c-pillar bar, but you can see the space available in the background, those are Recaro SRD's, not the JDM seats.
