any links to detailed specifications for this engine. how good is the aftermarket support for sohc zc,sites please . i was wanting to buy a low mileage sohc zc for around $500 and build it. are there any sites that have info on interchangleable parts?

i searched but gave up after looking through a few pages, most results refered to the usdm sohc's.

ok. well im kinda retarded, because i got something confused that i read about dohc zc's with sohc. the guy that i can get my engine from told me that the sohc zc is = to d16a6 and the only difference is that the ZC has a better cam and a better crank. i will probably be getting a sohc zc if there is something wrong with my engine, i have yet to do any tests on it. would it be better to just start with an sohc zc anyway for a build since my engine has 176k?

 

theres 3 zc's out there. the sohc zc Vtec which is the d16z6 w/ a more aggressive cam. a dohc ZC which is the infamous dohc d series motor non vtec. and the sohc 1.6 liter zc which is basically a d16a6 non-vtec. i've seen the sohc zc vtec rated at 140hp and the dohc zc rated at 130 on many sites on the internet. so my guess is they are pretty accurate?
