Need a link for JDM ITB manufacturer!
The Blitz ITBs used the factory map sensor if I remember correctly. Seems I recall that Blitz had stopped selling these, but the company that manufactured them is still selling them. A link was posted in the old archives, but it is gone now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Hey...just doing some homework guys!
I figure if I'm building a whole other long-block to play with, might as well look at all the options.

Anyone know about modding Toyota AE86 (#?) ITBs for the B series motors?
hey , i have a set of Blitz ITB's for sale if you want them , drop me an Email , IBIZA1024@aol.com , late.
Mike~ The Toyota AE86 came from the factory with ITBs. I've heard of some people making an adapter plate to use on a B series engine. I have a friend that has some right now for sale in fact. Just looking for any help or info! Didn't know how hard of a conversion it actually is.
has anyone ever tried pushing boost
through ITBs? i figure the gains in NA
would be substantially better with FI.
if so, how would you make sure the
air was distributed evenly through all
4 cylinders?

Don't flame me...but I seem to recall reading in a SuperStreet several months ago about a guy in CA running ITB's with a custom plenum for FI. I'll see if I can find it!
Chris my mistake I thought you were reffering to one of the aftermarket ITBs
Not sure about if you could modify the AE86 ones to fit though.

The Toda kit is supposed to be released in about 6 months as a full kit with Toda ecu and the necessary mas air sensor and dump tank to work as a bolt on kit. The kit now just for there sports injection kit without ECU and the other stuff is $2650. (ouch) And you have to get some toyota parts to make it work.
iv contemplated the idea... think it would work fine.... the air would also be equally ditributed because there is pressurized air coming into it... it will try to go into the head anyway it can
I would think boosting on ITB's would be defeating the purpose.
Isn't the main reason to run TB's is for getting rid of the turbulence accomapnied with a standard plenum?
Not sure on this one...

I talked to sgT on the phone for awhile today about his previous Blitz set-up. I will by no means exactly quote him as our conversion was rather lengthy, but he felt the Blitz unit was still a bit restrictive, possibly 43-45mm inlets. He recommended the larger TWM 48-50mm inlet if I did go with this style of set-up! In all honesty, he felt that if guys are hitting 230-240 all motor with just ITR manifolds and modded single TBs that the extra cost may not be warranted at this time. He did not say they were not an advantage, just maybe not the advantage I needed for my set-up.
