Default s2000 theft deterrents...

Can anyone tell me if an s2000 ( '00 model ) have an immobilizer?

Also, is it worth it to get a GPS locator alarm system? ( i was quoted $1225, including Clifford Pager , all installed with custom GPS module location)

and finally... where to mount the GPS module?

-thanx in advance

I agree with ardy, all they need to do is access the ignition and make it turn, along with bringing their own ECU and plugging it in, and its done.

they don't do much b/c they don't steal em in the first place, most get into accidents than get stolen. That's the nice thing about the s2000 over the ITR, it's not really a parts bin.

IMHO, NOTHING is going to stop a determined thief, Lojack seems to have the best return rate, but if the thieves know of the cities that dont' subscribe to it then they can just run there.

I think insurance is your best insurance against theft (this isn't saying a good alarm is a bad idea if it helps you sleep better).

Yeah, trying selling 00-01 Rag top on Ebay - LOL

ITR - you could part that f-er faster then the time it takes to hit 9k in 1st gear.
