Ive heard that you can bolt a gsr head onto the block of an LS/SE Integra. Is this true? Can you bolt an ITR head onto one as well? Also, how much would an ITR head cost from the factory? Anyone know?

yes the head will fit. and i think they run about 1300 or less from acura

 

Will it effectively turn the engine into a Type R engine?

no the block is totally different. that will just get u the LS/VTEC

 

What kind of horsepower will it give me then? Also, do you know how much a new ITR enigne would run me from the factory? GSR?

isn't the ITR head from Acura just a B16 head? the real ITR head is ported n polished by hand...which is not done if you buy it from the dealer, so get a used one...

No, there is the b16B head (LS, SE, GS), the B16C1 head (GSR), and the B16C5 head (ITR).

Looks like you have a typo there.. Its B18B/A which came in the LS. B18C from GSR and B18c5 from ITR. And actually even tough it fits on your ls block.. doent mean it bolts right on.... you still have to run an oil line. HP figures if you leave everything stock... probably around 150-160 if i'm guessing right.
The ITR head has a slight P&P but the real difference is in the drivetrain and the cams.
