That's the sequence for tightening down the head bolts. When I do a head I tighten a 1/4 turn at a time and then torque in two stages. Once at half the factory spec and then go back and torque them to factory spec.
If you don't follow that I think you should not atempt to put the head on. Leave it to the profesional installer. 98ctr

what is this copper sealer your talking about? can it be used on a composite head gasket? i blew one becasue i forgot to clean everything off the mating surface on the block, maybe this could have delayed it
Its junk, show me where it says to use that **** in the helms. If you blew a sohc compostie headgasket you need to use the updated 92-up sohc vtec metal headgasket with out any stupid spray. Honda doesnt use it because you dont need it.
Heres a tip, clean both surfaces this time and make sure they're not warped too.

i know people who have made HG REPAIRS with copper spray that are still holding.
the only time you need to be carefull with the spray is if a new HG is pre-coated with something. some are, some arent.
