copper spray for sure
The order for a B-series vtec head goes as follows looking down at the motor...

9 5 1 3 7

8 4 2 6 10

non-vtec is as follows...

8 6 2 4 10

9 3 1 5 7

That's the sequence for tightening down the head bolts. When I do a head I tighten a 1/4 turn at a time and then torque in two stages. Once at half the factory spec and then go back and torque them to factory spec.

If you don't follow that I think you should not atempt to put the head on. Leave it to the profesional installer. 98ctr

Its junk, show me where it says to use that **** in the helms. If you blew a sohc compostie headgasket you need to use the updated 92-up sohc vtec metal headgasket with out any stupid spray. Honda doesnt use it because you dont need it.

Heres a tip, clean both surfaces this time and make sure they're not warped too.

the spray dosent hurt anything
calm down.

i know people who have made HG REPAIRS with copper spray that are still holding.

the only time you need to be carefull with the spray is if a new HG is pre-coated with something. some are, some arent.
